Veľký Meder is one of the most popular and visited locations in southern Slovakia. It is a spa town with interesting history and jewel – healing thermal water. Thermal water has beneficial effect on the treatment of joint diseases, spinal disorders, muscle fatigue and overall it helps to regenerate the whole body. It springs from the depth of 1500 m, from two bores (the water of the first bore is 56,5°C, and the water of the other bore is 76,5°C). The chemical composition of geothermal water is similar to Piešťany´s springs.
